With it being Earth month, there could not be a better time to announce our new partnership with Green Circle Salons!
We have been working hard these last few weeks to get our certification and it has arrived! While we have been doing our part by recycling and being conscious about how we buy and how we use our products, this certification is taking us to the next level in being a better business on this beautiful planet. There is no better place to put your efforts than into Mother Earth, herself + we are one of the few Green Circle salons in Libertyville!

Who is Green Circle?
Green Circle Salons is the industry’s first sustainable salon solution dedicated to fighting beauty waste and climate change. The beauty industry creates 877lbs of waste per minute and their mission is to change that! Created by Founder and CEO, Shane Price, alongside beauty industry leaders, their award-winning program empowers salons to offset their emissions and recover up to 95% of their beauty waste. That includes previously unrecoverable materials and hard-to-recycle items like hair clippings, foils, excess hair color, aerosol cans, and color tubes. Their goal is to help salons and spas be green, build revenue, gain clients, and save money in a way that’s ethical and simple. They do that while also ensuring their own operations and practices are carbon neutral and sustainable. We’ve been certified by B Corp to acknowledge that we meet the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility.
How it works:
To responsibly recycle and reclaim salon waste, Green Circle Salons partner with over 40 like-minded companies across North America. That includes recycling facilities, chemical waste facilities, clean energy producers, bio-composite plastic producers and more.
To confidently offer our members a Green Guarantee, we have thoroughly investigated all our partners to ensure all the touchpoints of the waste journey are sustainably managed.
Green Circle Salons recycles everything from hair clippings, excess hair color and used metals to single use items, PPE waste, plastics, and paper & cardboard. This allows them to recycle up to 95% of the waste coming from each salon! Now that is incredible. So far, they have kept a whopping 1,358,103 pounds of beauty waste from landfills and waterway, and they have offset 13,155 metric tons of scope 2 CO2 emissions from member salons through our carbon neutral benefit. This is equivalent of taking 2,834 cars off the road for one year!
