Give your summer skin the hydration it deserves ✨

What is a Hydrafacial

There are relaxing facials and there are treatment facials. There are facials that help with brightening and tightening and there are facials that are there just to add moisture and soften those pesky fine lines. Then there are clinical facials. These are more aggressive and often done in a medical office.
The choices can be confusing for the consumer who has been told over the years that getting a facial is “a good thing”- but how to choose, what to choose and what to expect after are often questions left unanswered. But we got you... at Allure, we offer a few different options and today’s blog is going to give you some great information on one of our most popular services ✨The Hydrafacial

What is all the Buzz about?

A hydrafacial is one of the most powerful, non-invasive skin resurfacing treatments available today. It combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration and antioxidant protection that removes dead skin cells and impurities, while simultaneously delivering moisturizing serums into the skin.

What should I expect?

This treatment involves a four-part process: Cleanse, Exfoliate, Gentle Extraction and Hydrate.
Throughout the treatment, the technician will move the handheld wand over your skin to release different solutions while simultaneously siphoning the used solution back into the machine for disposal. Hydrafacials do not hurt and is actually a very relaxing and pleasant experience. Plus there is no down time so you can simply enjoy your refreshed and revived skin right away!

How many do I need to see results?

The Hydrafacial takes less than one hour to complete and the effects are visible for about one week. You will immediately see results after your first session, but more than one session can be beneficial.
For the best and most lasting results, we recommend customers get a series of 4 to 6 Hydrafacials and space them 2 to 4 weeks apart.

How much do they cost?

The Hydrafacial itself is anywhere from $150 to $300. Serums, light therapy, and lip plumping included + hand and arm massage.

What if I need extractions?

The Hydrafacial removes debris from pores with an automated vortex suction that painlessly cleans out pores with the exclusive Beta-HD™ serum.

How much time will a Hydrafacial take?

Our Hydrafacial at Allure Designs is a 45 minute service, which includes a hand and arm massage while you relax under our Red LED Light box, which is used for product penetration as well as anti-aging properties.

Any skin care items to avoid after?

It is important that you avoid harsh products after a hydrafacial treatment and avoid using toner a day after. Alcohol-based toners or those with exfoliating agents may result in dryness and irritation. Since the aesthetician already did a deep cleanse and balanced your skin’s pH, you don’t need to use a toner anyway. Also, reschedule your workout! If you didn’t get to exercise before going for your Hydrafacial, avoid the temptation of sneaking into the gym later that day. The excess heat and sweat might be overbearing to your already exfoliated skin. If you can, it’s best to plan your workout before your facial appointment. Avoid makeup for 24 hours. If you must wear makeup, mineral based is best.

What makes a Hydrafacial different from other facials?

A lack of manual extraction makes this process gentler on the skin than most regular facials, with instant and long-lasting results that you can see and feel. You'll notice improved hydration, minimized dark spots, and even a decrease in fine lines.
Unlike traditional facials, a Hydrafacial provides your skin with a gentle cleansing and rejuvenating experience without any pain during or after the treatment. This treatment is a great option for people with a wide range of skin concerns at different ages. In addition to the arm and hand massage, our Hydrafacial treatment also includes a gentle facial massage with a custom moisturizer.
